TEHRAN -- The Iranian minister of economy has said that it was economic growth in Iran over the past 2 years that brought the world powers to sit for talks with Iran.
“In the past two years, the government took major steps in reducing dependency on oil, so much so that the economic growth became positive in the year 1393 (which ended on March 20, 2015), inflation lowered, and calm returned to the property market,” Ali Tayyebnia stated, the Nasim news website reported on Monday. He asserted, “I believe from now that the enemies should redeem our unalienable rights.”
“The unjust sanctions must be lifted. But we still follow our well-founded policies aimed at reducing dependency on oil revenues and increasing the private sector’s share of the economy.”
